Lord and Lady Holderness started this publishing and printing business more than twenty years ago. Richard sadly died in 2002 and his Diana has since continued with the publishing business.

There are many reasons why people decide to have their books published privately. Older people, who have had interesting lives, feel they should write it down for their children and grandchildren. Others have had books printed as a memorial to a husband or wife, and several have wanted their children's books printed. Big publishers often turn them down or want to edit their book or turn down their chosen photographs The reasons are legion, and we are here to help!

Wilton 65 has printed a large variety of books including in the main (but by no means exclusively) autobiographies, diaries, travel books, poetry, pamphlets and occasionally copies of books in facsimile, and reprints. We also publish extracts of particular interest from much longer books which have been on the market in their entirety. We are high class publishers who give individual attention to all who seek our advice. We will register for an ISBN and recommend a Bar Code if books are to be made available in bookshops. An ISBN involves an obligation for the author to send 6 free copies of the book to the British Library for distribution to the principal libraries, but this has the advantage that the books can be located by any bookshop.
 
For those considering having a book published we will send a leaflet giving details of the most economical and practical way of preparing the text, together with a guide about costs, suggested quantities (from as few as five to as many as 12,000) and a rough guide about soft and hard backed books and dust jackets). We also design fliers to enable people to advertise their book or work.

We publish Memoirs, Biographies, Diaries, Poems, Plays, Novels, Short Stories, Children’s books, many with photographs, letters, maps etc. Books can also be reproduced in facsimile.

We offer typesetting, copy editing, copy writing, proofreading, and cover design, either individually or as a complete integrated book publishing service, together with project management where required.

We can accept paper copy or computer files in any format or on any media. Output is normally to high resolution PDF both for proofing and final output.

We liaise with you at all stages of the production process, you are always in control.
